06-13 -6.27 units (Props)
00-21 -8.81 units (Outrights)

Done with trying to pick race winners, never have liked betting the favorites and they are the ones taking the $$$ (JJ).

Looks like they will be battling weather again today but crossing my fingers that this will go the distance.

Match-Ups

2.00 units Jeff Gordon (+110) over Denny Hamlin (@thegreek)
If Jeff is going to break the non-winning streak this is the place to do it. Has 14 straight Top 10's and has not finished outside the Top 5 in 10 straight (a 3.29 avg. finish). You could sense his determination in practice on Saturday as he had the 4th fastest lap and the 4th fastest overall average speed(ran 74 laps) and he was still not satisfied.

Great track for Hamlin as well but concerned that his knee is hendering him somewhat and he has had a mediocre season (at best) so far with his best finish being 17th.

2.00 units Juan Montoya (-130) over Carl Edwards (@5dimes)
One of JPM's best tracks....has not finished worst than 16th in his 6 starts and had a best of 3rd his last time out here. Said this is the best car they've ever had at Martinsville and his practice times are backing that up.

Edwards was in the low 20's in practice and has only averaged an 18th place finish here, just 2 Top 10's in 11 starts.

1.50 units Dale Earnhardt Jr (+130) over Jeff Burton (@sportsbook.com)
This one may be close but I think there is some value in this line and I like Jr. on the short tracks. Has 4 Top 10's last 6 races at Martinsville. Had the best overall average speed in Happy Hour yesterday and was very confident in his chances today.

1.50 units Ryan Newman (+115) over Greg Biffle (@5dimes)
Not a great season for Newman so far but this is a place that he had 2 Top 7 runs in 2009.
Biffle, on the other hand, is off to a very good start not yet placing outside the Top 10 in 5 races but this place is not his favorite. Only 1 Top 10 in 14 starts and a 23rd place average finish.

1.50 units David Ragan (-120) over Sam Hornish (@thegreek)
I guess you can say this is a stat play. Hornish has never finished better than 28th here in 4 career starts (33.0 avg) while Ragan has never finished worse than 27th in 7 starts (avg of 19.9)

1.00 unit Jeff Gordon (+145) over Jimmie Johnson (@5dimes)
Have to give this one a shot

Props

2.00 units Jeff Gordon (+115) to finish Top 5 (@5dimes)
10 straight Top 5 finishes at Martinsville

1.50 units Juan Montoya (+140) to finish Top 5 (@5dimes)
Outside of road courses maybe his best track

1.50 units Dale Jr (+110) to finish Top 10 (@5dimes)
5 of last 8 and 3 of last 4 Top 10's at Martinsville

1.00 unit Jamie McMurray (+110) to finish Top 10 (@5dimes)
Great track for JamieMac 4 Top 10's in 6 starts...very good in practice

1.00 unit Kevin Harvick (-110) to finish Top 10 (@5dimes)
Having a strong year so far and averaging a 10th place finish the last 5 here

1.00 unit Matt Kenseth (-110) to finish Top 10 (@5dimes)
Ditto for Kenseth

Good luck to everyone!

Jeff Gordon got pushed out of the way in the final laps. I would have thought a Veteran Driver like him would have sealed the deal, but the other drivers made him look like he had his "Pants On The Ground" on that last restart.

yeah he was a joke on that restart but bet died when, on final lap, some guy hit the wall forcing the 2 lap restart. that was brutal :(

thought we'd catch a break on hamlin's dumb decision to pit but only made it that much worse because i actually thought I would push the bets...until the pit stop i had -4 already banked
